HELP WANTED

CHEF – MEDITERRANEAN, Haddon Township, NJ.  The Westmont Diner is seeking to fill this position in their Haddon Township, NJ location.

Specialty Cook/Chef – Mediterranean Kitchen – for healthier lifestyle.

Prepare Mediterranean dishes and pastries such as Greek stifado, Greek pastitsada, Greek pastitsio, baklava, Choriatiko psomi, koulourakia, all kinds of Greek pies[savory and sweet], local Greek dishes, vegetarian and vegan Greek dishes [such as fasolakia, gigantes, taramosalata]. Order supplies, keep records and accounts, price items on menu, plan menu. Inspect and clean food preparation areas and equipment. Supervise kitchen procedures to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature. Portion, arrange, and garnish food.

Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff. Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods.

Education and Skill Requirements:  2 years experience as a Cook/Chef or Pastry Chef.  Certification in Culinary Arts including Baking and Pastries.

Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-8pm.
